SalMar is committed to maintaining political neutrality and ensuring that all business decisions are made independently of political influence. This policy outlines SalMar’s approach to political involvement, ensuring transparency, professionalism, and respect for democratic principles.
This policy applies to all SalMar employees, managers, board members, and anyone acting on behalf of the company. It also governs SalMar’s external communications and participation in public debates.
The Board of Directors holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring compliance with this policy. Executive management oversees implementation and ensures that all employees act in accordance with SalMar’s Ethical Guidelines.
Employees must refrain from using SalMar’s name or resources in connection with personal political activities. Participation in democratic processes, NGOs, or related political engagements is permitted on personal time, provided it is without reference to the company. Employees shall not face professional consequences for personal political opinions or lawful activities outside of work. Within the workplace, any political expression must remain respectful and not intended to provoke or disrupt.
SalMar does not endorse or support any political party or individual politician in any country. The company may contribute to public debate on industry-related topics when relevant and in the company’s interest. Compliance with this policy is monitored through internal governance processes.
