SalMar prohibits any form of anti-competitive behaviour, including agreements or actions that restrict competition, and requires all employees to act with integrity in all commercial dealings.
This policy applies to all SalMar employees, subsidiaries, and business units, as well as any third parties acting on behalf of SalMar. It covers all interactions with competitors, suppliers, and customers across all markets.
The Board of Directors holds ultimate responsibility for SalMar’s compliance with competition law and approves and oversees compliance framework. Senior management ensures implementation of this policy across relevant departments. All employees are responsible for understanding and adhering to the principles outlined in the policy. Any necessary interaction with competitors must be based on legitimate commercial terms and never involve the exchange of competitively sensitive information.
SalMar conducts regular compliance reviews. Any suspected breach must be reported immediately through SalMar’s channels. All reports are investigated confidentially and corrective actions implemented where necessary.
SalMar is committed to maintain full compliance with competition laws and uphold the highest standards of business ethics. Our target is zero incidents of anti-competitive behaviour across all operations. Compliance is embedded in our governance processes and reinforced through continuous training and monitoring.
The following section outline the Group’s most material risks.
Incidents and accusations
SalMar’s global presence brings an increased risk of incidents related to corruption, bribery and anti-competitive behaviour. There is also risk of misunderstandings or misinterpretations that could lead to false claims and accusations of wrongdoing.
To implement this policy, SalMar:
Prohibits any agreements or practices that restrict competition, including price-fixing, or other competitive parameters
Restricts the exchange of competitively sensitive information with external parties
Maintains clear procedures for reporting and investigating potential breaches.
